Cytotherapy in Mexico.

The purpose of Cytotherapy is to insert molecules from young organs, glands, and tissues into the human body, which reactivate altered systems, bringing them back to homeostasis. Homeostasis is the state of balance between all the body systems that are needed to survive and function properly. According to one of the principles of Hippocrates that says: "The body regulates and heals itself".

In fact, the only possibility to replace old cells that have stopped producing secretions is through the application of young cells.

Outstanding aspects of these investigations in 1930 come from Dr. Paul Niehams, Dr. Hansleico, and Nobel Prize in Medicine Dr. Alexis Carrel, when he implanted tissue from young embryos of cattle and sheep in patients with various diseases, having obtained great success in the recovery of these patients.

In Mexico, in the '50s, Dr. Heriberto Alcazar developed a Cytotherapy based on the implantation of intact glands immediately after being extracted from infant pigs (piglets), (pigs are animals whose organs are similar in size to human organs) on the shoulder at the level of the deltoid 1.5 cm deep, thus creating a tissue cover, the pituitary gland is placed immediately after being extracted. The wound is sutured and covered.

This Cytotherapy has been applied in patients with menopause, sexual dysfunction, type 1 and 2 diabetes mellitus, growth disorders, and endocrine and degenerative diseases, to delay the aging process and as a prophylactic method.

The results have shown that after 10 days of implantation, there is a change in the concentration of circulating hormones: the most notable clinical result is present during the second and third month, although the effects last from 2 to 3 years.

The results of clinical and laboratory tests show that the pituitary gland induces the gradual secretion of its hormones, which begin to circulate, and when they reach the organs, together with specific receptors, they reactivate the glands and organs, causing secretion.

In this particular case, the hypothalamic-pituitary axis is reactivated. This regulates the feedback system that has been impaired due to some disease, aging, and the degenerative process then normalizes and levels the hormonal circulation. This is consistent with universal physiology for the reason that the human self-regulation system can be activated with bioactive molecules that come from heterotypic tissues (organs or glands implanted out of place without the need to remove the diseased organ from the recipient).

In conclusion, the application of Cytotherapy through the pituitary gland allows the recovery of hormonal levels and retains homeostasis without causing adverse consequences.
